Great News From Waitrose Hall Green

Waitrose Hall Green has chosen to support three foodbanks this December and the foodbank at the Job Marston Centre is one of them.

Community Matters collection at Waitrose Hall Green

By placing a token in the Community Matters box at your local branch you’re helping your community. Since its launch in 2008, the scheme has donated over £30 million to good causes in store and online. At the end of your shop in branch, you’ll receive a token to place in a box of the good cause you’d most like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive.

For December, Waitrose Hall Green have chosen three foodbanks to support and your foodbank at the Job Marston Centre is one of these. We really need this donation to buy some cupboards to store the food we give out to clients. You may already know that demand for our foodbank has risen, and continues to rise. Consequently we are having to store more and more food. We've already doubled our storage space but this isn't enough. We don't want to be in the position where we have to turn clients away because we've been unable to store food to give them.

So please, visit Waitrose Hall Green and pop a green token into the box for the Sparkhill Foodbank at The Church of the Ascension in Hall Green to maximise the donation we'll receive at the end of the year. Thank you.
