Proceeds of Crime Fund
Updated: Feb 24, 2019
Foodbank clients are to benefit from the Proceeds of Crime Fund.

We're pleased to announce that the Foodbank has been awarded £200 from the Proceeds of Crime Fund to purchase backpacks. The food we provide is mostly tinned which can be very heavy. Although everything is packed into carrier bags, clients may be collecting for a large family and have a long way to walk to get home or multiple buses to catch. We hope the backpacks will help to make this slightly easier for those that need them. Thanks go to Lou Robson, Councillor for Hall Green North, who encouraged us to apply for this Fund.
The Foodbank acts when people find themselves in crisis by giving enough food for three days for each client. We also encourage clients to access our other services such as our Money Adviser, Job Club, and Place of Welcome to combat loneliness and help people out of debt and unemployment.
